Jacob's Life

Jacob had to make a scrapbook or a slide show about his life for a science project at school. He made a slide show. It started out as a scrapbook, but turned into a slide show. Here is Jacob's Life!

Otsego Festival

On September 19th we went to the Otsego festival. I was in charge of a booth for our new ward building.

They had a few bounce rides. Rylie loved this big dog bounce house.

Jacob and Ali went town this big tornado slide. Ali thought it was more fun than Jacob did. I guess he is getting too old.

Joshua, Ali and Rylie all rode the ponies and loved it.

We all went on a free horse drawn wagon ride. Rylie kept yelling Weeeeee even though we were only going 5 miles an hour. We had a great time. I can't believe how fast the weather changed from wearing shorts one week to jackets and coats the next.

Emily standing

Emily is getting really good at pulling herself up to standing. I couldn't resist taking her picture. She is so cute and such a good baby. She loves to play with her siblings and thinks she can do everything they can do.

First day of school

The first day of school was Tuesday Sept. 8Th. Jacob was not excited at all. He did not have a good experience last year. He is starting 6Th grade, which is in middle school here. I was happy that at least the school district decided to not have the high school and middle school kids ride on the same bus this year. I heard the language was horrible!

Alison was very excited and a little nervous starting 1st grade. She is always very nervous about being late, so when I took her outside to take her picture (10 minutes early) she was very upset that all the other kids were already at the bus stop and immediately started crying. This is the best picture I could get from her. The bus ended up being very late and we stood at the bus stop for a half an hour.

I was excited for the kids to start school. They have been out for over 3 months. I led a cheer after the bus left. I now wonder what some of the neighbors think. But honestly, I don't care. I still have 3 at home (which is the average amount of kids in each family in my circle).

Beebe Lake

This is my last post for today. Make sure to check out all four. We went to Beebe Lake one more time before summer ends. It was only about 75 degrees so the water was a bit cold. The kids didn't care too much. Darren was not pleased. They love to play in the sand and swim. This beach is about 7 minutes away from our home and is really nice.

We learned that Emily is terrified of the sand. I had to keep her entertained the whole time holding her because if she even looked at the sand she would cry.
Here is a video. I am loving this feature on my camera.

Emily Crawling

Emily is now crawling all over the place! She is eating a lot of new things as well. I don't know how she finds the things she does. She is loving her freedom.
