Rylie's Birthday

Rylie's birthday was Saturday, May 16th. She turned two years old.

After showing her the book of cake designs, she chose a bear cake (it was the only one she seemed excited about). She wouldn't blow out the candles because she was so interested in playing with the cake. Mom had to blow them out for her.

We danced to Dora music and played with balloons.


She was given a Dora ball, Dora shirt, and a Dora doll. She also got a book and a Diego movie. What else could a two year old ask for!

Glued together

We were bummed about not getting Rylie's surgery over with so we walked over to the park. We were there 3 minutes and Alison fell on the equipment and got cut under her chin. Instead of giving her stitches the doctor used super glue. She thought that was soooo cool.

Surgery Postponed

Well, Rylie's surgery was postponed. On Tuesday, I took her to her pre-op appointment and she ended up having a ear infection. We had to postpone it until the beginning of June. I was hoping to get it over with. I hope her teeth don't start bothering her. Mom came to help with the kids and I guess she will be staying longer than expected. Nothing ever goes as planned.

It's a pink world after all

For Ali's birthday, she wanted her room decorated. She chose pink walls with a butterfly theme. We are still going to add a few things to the walls but this is how it turned out.

I sewed these butterflies on the valence and on the last one noticed I had sewn them on the back. I had to pick them all off and sew them on the right side.
