Moles

This is the last post for today. I don't remember how many I have done (4 or 5). Make sure you check them all out. Today Jacob had to have 2 suspicious moles removed. He was not excited about this. The dermatologist removed a portion of skin around each one to be safe and stitched it closed. He will have to return to have the stitches removed. We are hoping they were not anything serious.
Darren's parents were here for the last week. We had a lot of fun. We went on a tour boat on the Mississippi River, to the park, to Mall of America and the kids rode rides at Nickelodean land and just hung out. We all enjoyed having them here and were sad when they had to go. Here is a slide show of all our fun.

4TH OF JULY

We had a wonderful holiday. We came home from camping and everyone took a nap (except me) while I prepared for our next activity. We were invited over to my friend Alanna's home for a Barbecue and fireworks.
The kids enjoyed their pool.

Joshua really liked the sparklers and fireworks this year. It was really fun to watch him.

Jacob is growing up sooooo fast. He wanted to light some of the fireworks. He really enjoyed the fireworks as well.

I made this cake. It was simple but fun. The kids always like having a special dessert.

Josh and Rylie waiting for some of that yummy dessert. We had a great weekend. Jacob still is having a hard time being here and mentioned several times what we would be doing if we were in Utah. It was not the same, being without family, but it was a lot better than we thought it would be. Thank goodness for the church. Every fun activity we did had something associated with members from our ward. We are very blessed to be members of our church.

Camping

We went to the Ward Camp-out on July 3rd. It was our first camping experience in Minnesota. There were TONS of mosquitos. There are no mountains but there are lots of places to camp within a few minutes from our house. This site was about 15 minutes. It felt like we were camping in someone's backyard.
We purchased mom and dad's tent. We found the instructions AFTER it was set up. The kids had never slept in a tent and thought it was fun.

Rylie having fun driving while we loaded up the van

The kids stayed up really late and were very tired when we left to go home. What a way to start the 4th of July weekend.

Emily

Emily started sitting by herself this week. She is now 6 months old. I love when they can sit and play with toys but are not mobile yet. She is much happier sitting than laying down.

Emily found the desitin while I was changing Rylie's diaper. I hate to admit she is not my first child to enjoy the yummy taste of desitin. At least I know it wont hurt her since Rylie was the one to bite a small hole in the tube in the first place.
