First day of school

The first day of school was Tuesday Sept. 8Th. Jacob was not excited at all. He did not have a good experience last year. He is starting 6Th grade, which is in middle school here. I was happy that at least the school district decided to not have the high school and middle school kids ride on the same bus this year. I heard the language was horrible!

Alison was very excited and a little nervous starting 1st grade. She is always very nervous about being late, so when I took her outside to take her picture (10 minutes early) she was very upset that all the other kids were already at the bus stop and immediately started crying. This is the best picture I could get from her. The bus ended up being very late and we stood at the bus stop for a half an hour.

I was excited for the kids to start school. They have been out for over 3 months. I led a cheer after the bus left. I now wonder what some of the neighbors think. But honestly, I don't care. I still have 3 at home (which is the average amount of kids in each family in my circle).

Beebe Lake

This is my last post for today. Make sure to check out all four. We went to Beebe Lake one more time before summer ends. It was only about 75 degrees so the water was a bit cold. The kids didn't care too much. Darren was not pleased. They love to play in the sand and swim. This beach is about 7 minutes away from our home and is really nice.

We learned that Emily is terrified of the sand. I had to keep her entertained the whole time holding her because if she even looked at the sand she would cry.
Here is a video. I am loving this feature on my camera.

Emily Crawling

Emily is now crawling all over the place! She is eating a lot of new things as well. I don't know how she finds the things she does. She is loving her freedom.

Best buds

Rylie and Emily are becoming best buds. They laugh at each other and always try to do the same things. Of course, they can bother each other also. But I think they are going to be best friends.

Comotown

We have been trying to make the best of the last weeks of summer. We went to Comotown again last weekend. Comotown is a free zoo and an amusement park.

We had a picnic lunch. They have a nice area to eat with a playground.

Emily spent a lot of time in the stroller. She loved the animals. Most of my babies at this age just watch people, but she actually loved watching the animals.

Ali and Jacob next to the orangutan statue.

Ali, Rylie, Darren, and Josh on the merry-go-round.

Joshua loved the rides! They have a lot of rides for his age but only 2 or 3 for Jacobs age.
The kids want to go here every day, but it is about 45 minutes away so it is a good excuse to only make it a special occasion.

School Supplies

School's coming up for our kids on Tuesday. So both of them had a big long list of school supplies. In Utah all the teachers provided school supplies, so we weren't used to this kind of stuff. Ali and Jacob wanted to take a picture after they organized it.
Here's everything Ali needs:Here's everything that Jacob needs. Jacob will be learning to play the trombone.
